The Incredibles was a 2004 animated superhero film that gained its own notoriety in history by being decidedly outside of the norm for the cartoons of the era. This unlikely superhero comedy about an entire family of heroes who are forced to live a normal life and hide their powers from their suburban neighbors. This Pixar animation was certainly a refreshing idea for the creators and consultants of The Simpsons. Starring role voices include Craig T Nelson as the lead family man, Holly Hunter as his wife as well as Sarah Vowell and Spencer Fox who play their two children.
The Incredibles created a different history for themselves as they tried to hide their true talents while Dad, Bob Parr, desperately tried to get over his need to save the world. He found himself down and distressed about how mundane his job was becoming until the point where he eventually let it show and lost his job. Even Jason Lee and Samuel L Jackson had special voice parts in this film as fans and friends of Bob Parr respectively.
The Incredibles fact though is that eventually Bobs need to help save the world rubs off on his entire family who begin to exercise their powers to the fullest extent. In doing so they are also slowly gaining more love and respect for each other which is meant to build their family even stronger. As the entire family battles a killer robot they all learn a new love and respect for one another.
