Surprise Party Invitations
A Surprise Party has a special element to it. It is a surprise. So, care must be given when making out and sending out invitations. The guest of honor is, after all, not supposed to find out.
Hand Delivered Party InvitesFor a Surprise Party It might be a good idea to hand deliver these surprise party invitations. It reiterates the importance of secrecy, and if they are mailed they could end up in the wrong hands. If it is a party where most of the attendees are from work, then this is easy to just walk them over to each of the invited guests.
Hand Designed Invitations Since the surprise could be for a birthday, a promotion, a bachelor party, or any other occasion, this opens the door to a hand designed invitation. It could be given a humorous touch, such as cut out letters from a newspaper indicating a secret plan for a bachelor or bachelorette party. A surprise party for a woman might have a photo of a Barbie doll on the front of it, but the mouth is drawn over as if she is surprised and saying “Oh!”
Thank You Notes After a Surprise Party The birthday guy or bachelorette should always send a thank you to the guests that attended this very secretive and private party. They should be praised for their attendance there, their discretion, and their generous gifts. Thank you notes should be sent out no later than two weeks after the event to properly respect the party guests. And if gifts were given, they might even be individually spelled out to thank each guest for their thoughtful gift.
