Hippies are something that are a part of our American history, and with that often times there are will be opportunities to take different facts from American history and use that information for your benefit, or party. When you go through and start planning the initial start of your event or party you are going to want a rough idea of what kind of events you will be having during this party. When you think of different kinds of hippies you think of happy faces, peace signs and lovemaking and music right? How do you incorporate those things into a kid friendly party or environment? This is where you will need to use your parental discretion or plan this sort of thing for adults only.
There are many different ways to have a hippy themed party. When you send out invitations allow everyone to know what you are doing with the party and what they can expect. As your guests to come wearing their depiction of hippie clothing and you can offer a costume contest, with prizes first second and third place. Use the hippie stage to your advantage by having fun with making different tie-dye shirts or skirts for the ladies. There is a lot more to living a hippie style outside of throwing peace signs and singing about peace and making love all of the time. Show the kids different recipes that were often used for different women and men who chose to live the traveling hippie lifestyle.
