The 5th of May is Cinco de Mayo which is celebrated in Mexico and places that contain a large mexician popluation or in places where people like to find an excuse to party! Cinco de Mayo COOKIES

A universal celebration of Mexican culture, any Cinco de Mayo party is sure to come complete with a variety of delicious and exotic food; including some downright delicious homemade cookies!

Although Cinco de Mayo commemorates that day back in 1862 when Mexican troops defeated the French in a landmark battle fought in the city of Puebla, Mexico, perhaps the most famous homemade cookies hailing from this culture stand as a celebration of love, not war. Indeed, Mexican wedding cookies are scrumptious confections enjoyed around the world—and, as an added bonus, they are not difficult to make. They are perfect little moon-shaped cookies made of sugar, butter, flour and vanilla extract. Mexican wedding cookies take very little time to prepare and stand as international symbols of Mexican culture.

Aside from some delightful and culturally significant homemade cookies, Cinco de Mayo Coloring Pages would make another beautiful accent to any Cinco de Mayo festivity.
