COOKIES
|
 |
Christmas is synonymous with holiday treats; so when planning a Christmas party, don’t forget to bake a full batch of sumptuous homemade cookies.
Homemade cookies for a Christmas party should be as bright and vibrant as the most popular holiday of the year. These cookies, which could be vanilla or chocolate, cinnamon or shortbread, should take the shape of popular Yuletide emblems. These could include bells, trees, wreaths, stars, doves, elves, brightly wrapped gifts, Yule logs, sleighs, and—of course—the round and oh so jolly form of Santa Claus himself.
To decorate homemade cookies for a Christmas festivity, the host could adorn them with thick icing flourishes in vibrant Yuletide hues such as red, green, silver and gold. For a tree cookie, for example, she could paint on streams of gold and bronze garland, and of course some lovely ornament balls and a star on top. A Santa cookie, meanwhile, could be adorned with an icing coat of bright red with a fluffy white trim. Gifts could come ‘wrapped’ in frosty flourishes of various patterns and designs; stars, for their part, could emblazoned with red and green sprinkles.
Aside from some yummy Homemade Cookies for the ultimate Christmas festivity, young guests in particular might enjoy some vibrant Coloring Pages. Kids would love the thought of coloring pictures of Christmas trees and wreaths, and especially of jolly ol’ Santa and his sleigh. And they will relish the thought of showing off their Coloring Pages at the party that day.
