Beyond being fun kids’ characters, the Care Bears are positive role models that promote the value of love and kindness; so why not throw the ultimate Care Bears party, complete with handmade Care Bears piñatas.
It would be fairly easy to mold colorful, festive homemade piñatas of the Care Bears, as their rainbow-colored surfaces and cartoonish faces lend themselves well to paper mache. Make the Care Bears in various bright colors, including red, blue, purple, green, yellow, gold, etc. And don’t forget to include the classic ‘Care Bear’ ‘carecteristics’ on each piñata, including round, dark eyes, a sweet smile, and a bright, positive symbol emblazoned across their stomachs, including a rainbow, a beam of sunshine, or a heart.
If young guests blanch at the idea of splitting open a Care Bear piñata (even if there is plenty of delicious candy awaiting them inside!), they might prefer handmade piñatas in the shape of these very ‘caring’ symbols; a rainbow, sunshine or heart-shaped piñata would make a beautiful addition to any party, particularly a Care Bears festivity. Kids might also like a ‘picture piñata’ that shows a scene from a Care Bears cartoon, or just a portrait of the bears standing together in a sun-drenched meadow.
And speaking of bright scenes; a scene setter of a sunny meadow (complete with a rainbow, of course) would make another nice addition to a Care Bears party. Other party supplies at this spirited festivity could include Care Bears stuffed animals that could be strewn throughout the party area, as well as banners and centerpieces ‘bearing’ images of the Care Bears.
