Cabbage Patch pasta salad
Cabbage Patch pasta salad, my daughter Kaylee loves these Cabbage Patch dolls and I love salads so I decided to combine the two and this is what I get I want to share the amazing results that creativity has given me
. 16 oz of pasta, shells or rotini
1/2 cup chopped red onion
1 cucumber, seeded and sliced
cauliflower
broccoli
carrots
grean beans
asparagus
some frozen peas
a small can of sliced olives
sliced celery
various colors of bell pepper
Instructions:
Cook a 16 ounce of pasta, shells or rotini, whatever you prefer according to package directions
Add about 1/2 cup chopped red onion, one cucumber, seeded and sliced, and if you like, some lightly steamed veggies such as: cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, grean beans, asparagus, some frozen peas, a small can of sliced olives, sliced celery and various colors of bell pepper.
Dress with your favorite Italian dressing. Use any veggies you like, add small cubes of cheese if you eat dairy.
The pasta really absorbs the dressing, check to make sure it isn't too dry.
For an oilfree dressing use a 16 ounce can of recipe cut tomatoes, or dried basil and marjoram and rice or wine vinegar to taste. Oh, yes, freshly ground black pepper and minced garlic
Pasta salad's are great because they have all the healthy ingredients you need to stay active. I came across this recipe and I am not letting go, although I am wiling to share with you today.

Cabbage Patch Kids MENU IDEAS |
 |
These popular dolls were really big during the 80s and early 90s and they are experiencing a little bit of a revival in popularity. So your kids today are having fun and enjoying some of the same Cabbage Patch Kids dolls that you enjoyed as a kid.
The Cabbage Patch Kids party menu involves all things cabbage related. At least as far as you can stand it for the party! You’ll want to include some Cole Slaw made from Cabbage, Cabbage and Noodles and the hearty Cabbage Rolls. For a back up if your party guests are stubbornly refusing to remain open and go for a simple tossed salad with lettuce and easy oven pizza on the side.
Cabbage Patch Kids Cabbage Rolls are really good. They are sort of on the same level as a stuffed Green pepper with rice and ground beef. You’ll need; a pound of ground beef, head of cabbage, bread crumbs, a meatloaf seasoning packet and some Italian dressing for this simple recipe. Mix up the ground beef, bread crumbs and meatloaf seasoning. Add an egg if the seasoning package suggests it and also add in several dashes of Italian dressing. Wash the cabbage and remove several of the inner leaves for wrappers. Place about two or three spoonfuls of meat mix into each Cabbage leaf and roll up, securing the ends. Once all the wraps are completed place on a bed of chopped cabbage with plenty of Italian dressing poured over it. Pop into the oven at about 350 degrees for about an hour. Check the cabbage continually. The Cabbage Patch Kids Cabbage Rolls are ready when the cabbage is tender and the meat well-cooked.
It’s probably a good idea to keep some antacids on hand for when heartburn hits your guests after eating their third helpings of Cabbage Rolls. Set the guests at this kids party down in front of the television to enjoy a couple of episodes of the old Cabbage Patch Kids cartoons. By just adding even one simple food item to the menu will help create
a complete Cabbage Patch Kids theme party feeling. |
