Ballerina THEME RECIPE

Ballerina Crepes

My daughter is a ballerina and every year her birthday party theme is Ballerina, this year was a very special one with many guest's, as her mother I was in charged of all the planning I had no clue on what to cook and serve these very important people so I decided on crepes and whoa, totally satisfied. Ingredients:

2 tblsp egg replacer (or arrowroot)
1 1/2 cup water
1 cup soy milk
1 tsp salt
4 tblsp oil
2 cup flour (I use half unbleached and half whole wheat pastry)
1/2 garbanzo flour

Instructions:

Blend the egg replacer with 1/2C water until smooth. Add remaining ingredients and blend one minute at high speed.

Heat a crepe pan or non stick 8" skillet over low heat, brush the bottom lightly with oil (I use unrefined corn oil). When pan is heated, take it off the burner, let cool about three seconds and pour 3-4T batter into it. Swirl the pan so the bottom is coated with a thin layer of batter. Put the pan back on the burner and cook until lightly browned. Flip the crepe and cook until that side is lightly browned as well. Repeat with remaining batter. This makes about a dozen crepes. Note that you will inevitably screw up the first crepe or two, but it will become fairly routine after that.

BALLERINA RELAY GAME: Arrange the Ballerina Party guests into teams of 3-4 people each. Have them come up with a name for their team, and then have everyone put their homemade tutus into a pile on the other side of the room. The relay occurs by having each team member tiptoe across the room like a ballerina (only on their toes!), find their tutu, put it on, pirouette three times, and then leap like a ballerina (at least three times) back to the team. Ballerina MENU IDEAS

Every little girl dreams of becoming a ballerina. Having her birthday party themed as a ballerina gathering is certain to bring a dance to her step. Enhance the party’s mood by having a ballerina themed menu to compliment the ballerina party. Of course, encourage all guests to dress as the prettiest ballerina they know.

Consider serving the following menu at a ballerina party: On Pointe Party Punch, Tutu Tacos, Plie Pie and Leotard Lemonade. Having the guests at the ballerina party create their own Tutu Tacos will allow all picky eaters to dine on what they love. Make sure to have 2 lbs ground beef, 1 teaspoon Salt, 2 tablespoons Chili powder, 2 tablespoons Paprika, 1 teaspoon Cumin, 1 teaspoon Garlic powder or 2 cloves, 1/2 diced Bell pepper, 1/2 diced medium Onion, 12 corn tortillas.

In 2 quart sauce pan add ground beef, salt, chili powder, garlic, cumin, paprika, enough water to cover meat. Bring to a boil. Simmer mixture over medium low heat about an hour. Then add 1/2 medium chopped onion, 1/2 medium chopped bell pepper. Continue cooking 20 or 30 more minutes. For soft beef tacos: Heat oil in skillet. Having corn tortillas cook one at a time, in hot oil until soft, about 10 to 15 seconds; drain. Spoon 2 Tablespoons of the beef taco meat in center of each tortilla. Fold tortilla over meat; or roll up like an enchilada.
