What To Say in the Invitations
While wedding and very formal events have a standard way they should be written, it is acceptable to be much less formal when writing the invites for a causal party. A children’s animal party for instance should still have the basic information that the parents will need but there is no need to be ultra formal. The parents will need to know the date, time, location and any special instructions. Is it going to be costume party? Should the kids come dressed like their favorite animal? Will there will an adult doing animal makeup for the kids? Do you need the parents to stay and help with the party? For a child’s party if the parents are not staying then they need to know when to pick the kids up.
When To Mail the Animal Party Invitations
When to mail invitations is always a question. For a child’s animal party it would be best to mail out invitations two to three weeks ahead of time and ask for the RSVP at least a week before the party. If you don’t hear from someone, it is perfectly acceptable to call and ask if their child will be attending the party.
When To Mail the Thank You Notes
Thank you notes should be mailed within a week after the party. If the parents stayed to help be sure to add a special thank you to them. If it is just not possible to send the thank you notes out within a week; two weeks will due, but try not to wait any longer than that. Remember a few sincere lines on a thank you note is always very appreciated.
