American Idol's Lobster with Vanilla
American Idol's Lobster Vanilla may sound odd as it did for me, but its incredibly delicious. Try it and see what I mean, when I was introduced to it the first time by my mom is said no thanks I will pass, but I came across it again at Teri's party so I decided to try it and it just "wow"
. Live 1 1/2 pound lobster per person
1 onion
1 clove of garlic
Tomatoes, skinned and finely chopped
A little wine or fish stock
Butter
Sherry
Vanilla extract
Cayenne pepper
Cut the lobster in half. Crack the claws and cut the tail through the joints. Melt a knob of butter in a heavy saute pan, fry the onion and garlic gently. Add the lobster pieces and cook until they go red, before removing them to someplace warm. Now turn up the heat and add the rest of the ingredients, except the vanilla, buter and cayenne. Reduce the tomatoes until they're a bubbling mush, then turn down the heat and add the butter in bits and stir to stop the sauce from separating. Finally, add half a teaspoon of vanilla and a shake of cayenne. Pour the sauce over the lobster and serve with rice.
If you like Lobster you will defiantly love this Lobster with Vanilla. It has a different taste that will have you craving it often as it does for me. It truly is great for your next event prepare it and amaze all your special guest's.

| AMERICAN IDOL LIP SYNC: Ideas for an American Idol party include sending out invitations that are worded and designed to be a call for auditions for [insert birthday child’s name here]’s next season. Have the guests R.S.V.P. in order to allow you to get information about the possible song choices they will either sing or lip sync to at the audition. Prepare some cutouts of your Simon, Paula, and Randy (blow up pictures of their faces and glue on to cardboard to cut them out) and put them in chairs to “judge the performances.” In front of each of the cutouts put a bowl with some random comments that the judges have made in the past on pieces of paper. After the “audition,” have the guests take turns picking the comments out of the bowls and reading them out loud. Take care to only select positive things – even from Simon. This exercise is about having fun, not about tearing apart anyone’s self esteem, but using real comments allows the children to try to mimic the voice and demeanor of the judges as well – making it even more fun. If your guest list for the party is all girls, consider having a make-up/hairstylist competition before the actual “audition” to allow them to get glamorized for their performance. Lots more

American Idol MENU IDEAS |
 |
One of the most popular TV shows that is on these days is American Idol, where contestants compete to be the best musician or singer and a chance at a record deal. Interesting trivia fact, American Idol was actually created in response to European Idol, they were first. This can be and extremely easy or an extremely hard theme to run with depending on your access to equipment, and your guests singing skill. Simply holding a singing event is the best way to celebrate American Idol, but you may want to invest in headphones just in case. As for decorations, any music notes, karaoke machines, posters and assorted merchandise, as well as most anything singing related would make for good decorations.
American Idol brunch menus can be fun and glamorous for the guests. Make up tasty hors d’ouevres so the guests can feel like they’ve finally made it just as their favorite American Idols have. Yummy Pinwheels rolled up tightly with thin sliced ham and Swiss make a good treat for those who want to ham it up a bit. Those who would ‘croak’ on stage just might get a kick out of fried frog’s legs! If you want to bring out the critic in someone just give them a boneless Simon ‘Sour Chicken’ Cowl nugget. These are very tasty is a little sour like Simon on American Idol.
To make Simon ‘Sour Chicken’ Cowl nuggets you’ll need; a bag of breaded boneless chicken, Sweet and Sour sauce, lemon juice and a basting brush. Spread the chicken out on a pan and pop it in the oven at the recommended temperature on the bag. Mix half a cup of sweet and sour sauce with two to three tablespoons of lemon juice to give your chicken that extra sour boost. After ten minutes baste your chicken pieces on one side with the sauce. Wait another five minutes and flip. Baste the opposite side and let finish cooking. Serve up with the rest of the sweet and sour mix as a dipping sauce.
When you are finished up, if you’ve remembered to purchase disposable plates and utensils your after party clean up should go by flash. Then you’ll have some extra time to watch a few episodes of American Idol recorded on DVD. By just adding even one simple food item to the menu will help create
a complete American Idol theme party feeling. |
