Handmade 80s Party Favors

Outside of the music selections from the 80s, Pac-Man is another item from 80s nostalgia and choosing this game concept works well for homemade party favors. Another great throw back is the use of cupcakes. Although cupcakes have been around for a while, they were really popular in the 80’s and making a huge come back recently.

Stick with the standard vanilla and chocolate cupcakes when making them for an 80s themed party. In addition to the handmade party favors, add a little decoration on the cupcake paper as well to add a final touch.

All that is needed is the cupcake and different colored icings. These colors should include white, red, yellow, white, light pink and blue. Hosts should also have a good supply of black icing for outlining and coverage. Different icing tips to place on an icing bag are also helpful.

Ice the top of all the cupcakes with the black icing. Next, assemble the cupcakes until the form a rectangle. Plan out where the Pac-Man will be, where the ghosts will be and where the blue bars will be. Think of the black tops of the cupcakes as a blank canvas. Some cupcakes will have characters while others might just have white dots or blue lines. Give guests a Pac man decorated box to put their selected homemade party favors into and they will be well on their way. Although each one will not have the same design as one another, they will know where it came from – and that they got to pick out which on they wanted. Awesome addition to the 80s themed party!
